Hmmm… January, nothing important huh?

WRONG! Wrong, wrong, wrong! January is DA BOMB!!!!!!!!!!!! There is,
New Year’s Day (Ah, got you there!)
Martin Luther King Day
Inauguration Day (Historical…)
President’s Day (when was that again?)

and
Almost February Day! Created by me, Kendra, it’s the 31st when you celebrate how close February Day! To celebrate, you raise your eyebrow at people like “What the heck are you doing” and then when you talk to someone, say Milky Pink when they say bye. Then stay up till 12 o clock, and when it’s 12, scream “Happy February” and wake everyone up like it’s Christmas! Or you can just celebrate it like any old, busy, boring day, full of nothing exceptional and New Year itis

Have you heard of this new series? It is for pre teens, and it’s about a bunch of girls in camp lake view. The first one is Natalie’s Secret, then Jenna’s Dilemma, and the Grace’s —–. It is like so totally awesome! I’m not the kind of person to spoil a tantalizing story so looks like you’re going to find out on your own!

Poetry!

Hey! Today is poem in your pocket day! Check this out:
Keep a Poem in Your Pocket

Keep a poem in your pocket
and a picture in your head
and you’ll never feel lonely
at night when you’re in bed.

The little poem will sing to you.
The little picture it brings to you
A dozen dreams to dance to you
At night when your in bed.

So—
Keep a picture in your pocket
And a poem in your head
And you’ll never feel lonely
At night when your in bed.

Beatrice Schenkde Regniers
I found it on it internet.

Here’s a poem I wrote (I carried it to school)
I carry a poem in my pocket
a picture of me in my locket

My imagination powerfully rockets
When I recite the poem in my pocket.

My heart melts like chocolate
When I recite the peom in my pocket.

My eyes roll like butter in their sockets
When I recite the poem in my pocket.

My feet tap, tip tap tip tappet, tip tappet
When I recite the poem in my pocket.

So that’s why I carry a poem in my pocket
And a picture of me in my locket.

My friends, the “honest” critics said it was a little disturbing, but my teacher loved it.

Boo for Bullies!

I know how it feels when someone just keeps on picking on you until there is no word that describes the degree of sadness you’re experiencing.
Here are some tips:
1. Remember this: I’m rubber you’re glue. What you say to me bounces back to you
2. Tell an adult as soon as it happens
3. Write a note to your teacher and ask to be assigned to another desk
4. Something to remember: you’re not a snitch, you’re doing the right thing.

Halloween Curfew?

I can’t believe it! It is officially the worst law ever! When we trick-or-treat this Halloween, and a police man is around, And it’s past 8:00, you will be arrested! You can’t stay out unless you are 18, or have an adult with you. I hate having an adult with me. I mean it’s time to hang out with your friends right? If you are like 3 years old then I would imagine why an adult is tagging along, but really, what if you’re 10?

The Good Stuff

Stop the fun for a sec, think why do we have these holidays. Is there a reason that they’re all in winter? They all include presents, friends and family your age and food. Is that all you look forward to? Then why do you do these rituals? Let me tell you why. They’re part of the holiday. But we didn’t care. Take Christmas for instance. Tell me why we celebrate it. If you have to exit this website and do a google search, do it on all the holidays you celebrate. Ask your parents. The Good Stuff isn’t the whole thing.

Charlotte’s Web

Have you ever enjoyed a book people all over the nation years 8-100 are also enjoying? There’s one, Charlotte’s Web.The new movie is coming in theaters soon. My class has read it for reading comprehension, did a project or two, will watch the old one, new one together in the theaters, and is working on a play for it. At first the book seemed something for book freaks, who read any book they pick up, good or bad, but I kept on reading and I really loved it. You will too.
